Playing games in live events is exciting and fun, except for the downtime, when waiting for operations. Melee was built to streamline complicated event scenarios, from the smallest store event to the largest championship-level tournaments. While Melee has become  more powerful, we have heard from players, judges, and store owners that Melee can be too complex. Most events just need a smooth way for players to get seated, submit results, and enjoy their gaming experience. 

So, based on your feedback, we are launching the Melee Mobile app (in open beta), to improve your experiences onsite at events!

How It Works

Melee Mobile connects directly to the events you are already registered in. When you sign in with your existing Melee account, you’re looking at a live view of your events!

What You Can Do Today

• View all the events and tournaments you are registered or currently participating in.
• View decklist status with fluid redirects to move from the app to Melee.gg in order to submit or edit your decklists pre-event. 
• Receive live notifications so you find out when all the matches are complete and when the next round is paired without needing to constantly be refreshing the screen.
• View  your round and pairing updates in real time.
• Submit results and view standings.

Why This Matters Beyond Player Convenience

All events experience delays. The Melee Mobile App is designed to minimize that wasted time in a variety of ways. Organizers of store-level events now will receive push notifications when the next round is ready to be paired, allowing them to quickly match the next round straight from their pocket! 

At larger events organizers have new tools which send players push notifications when information is needed or actions are required. Most importantly though, each judge on the floor will now have a sleek UI to manage actions which normally would take much longer when trying to navigate Melee’s Web App on a mobile device. This shift alone will save untold time. You might not feel it in your events, but your Melee tournaments are about to get even smoother with Judges and Players now having access to the Melee Mobile App!

Melee Mobile is available now for iOS and Android using your existing Melee.gg credentials for login.

iOS users: Melee Mobile is currently distributed through Apple TestFlight during the open beta.

Android users: Melee Mobile is available directly on the Google Play Store.
