Updated Terms of Service and New Parent/Child Workflow
All users will need to agree to our updated Privacy Policy the next time they log in before accessing our services. Users will also need to provide their date of birth if their account does not already have one associated with it.
Any users under the age of 13 will need their parents or legal guardians to grant consent of use and link their accounts. Steps for parents to achieve this are as followed.
- Create or log into their Melee account.
- Go to https://melee.gg/Profile/Account
- At the bottom of this page you will find the Parent/Child Accounts section.
- Here you can either link an existing child account or create a new child account.
- Follow the associated steps.
- Child accounts will receive an email to either claim their new account or accept the link for their existing account.
These steps are very important as any existing child account that is not claimed by September 4th, 2024 will be deleted.

New Enrollment Form
We’ve improved upon our tournament enrollment form, improving its functionality and ease of use. What’s changed:
- Reduced the number of search fields from two down to one.
- Introduced dropdown options for what information users wish to search for with the option to search all relevant fields at once.
- You now have the option to skip reviewing player details and go straight to enrolling them with a single click.
- Made it easier to enroll multiple players at the same time if they share the same information such as last name.
- Creating New Melee Users is now behind a click of a button. No other functionality changed for this procedure.
New Sign in Options
You can now log into accounts utilizing their Google or Discord accounts. Additional options you can choose from that are found on your https://melee.gg/Profile/Security page are the options to choose between signing in with your password, going passwordless, or utilizing two-factor authentication.
