Introducing Our New Decklist Builder and Support for More Games!
Throughout our time supporting Magic: The Gathering decklist submission, we’ve listened and learned from players. Our decklist building tools needed an upgrade. That’s why we’ve completely revamped the process to make decklist submission smoother, faster, more intuitive than ever before, and even support submission of decklists for any and all games you play!
So What’s Changed?
The Whole Decklist Builder
Let’s kick things off with the biggest update, the decklist builder! We’ve streamlined our existing tools to make it a whole lot easier for you to import decks, add or edit cards, and determine what issues exist when there’s a validation error with your submission for games we have full submission and validation support for.
- You can now type the number of copies you want to submit when searching for cards to add to your deck. For example, entering “4 Lightning Bolt” into the field will allow you to add all four copies to the deck.
- Card searching can start with any word in a card so you’ll be able to find every variation of a Luke Skywalker card by searching for “Skywalker”.
- Clicking on the number associated with any card pops up buttons to add or remove copies of the card.
- You can move cards to or from the Maindeck and Sideboard at the card level.
- If there’s an error with your decklist, you’ll see easy-to-understand error descriptions to ensure you can fix your decklist before your tournament starts.

One Link to Submit All Decks!
Just like how https://Melee.gg/Players takes you to your Player Portal for any tournament you’re about to or currently playing in, we’ve added https://Melee.gg/Decklist/Form which directs you to a page to submit decklists for any tournaments you’re in that require them. Make sure to bookmark these pages for your future tournaments!
Use Decklists on Melee for Your Tournaments
For the longest time you were able to use decks found in your personal decklist library to register into your future tournaments. We’ve expanded this feature to any decklist’s view page. Looking at the most recent winning decklist? Just go find that deck on Melee, click on the Actions dropdown and use it for your next tournament!
Game-Agnostic Support and Decklist Database
This release also introduces our game-agnostic decklist submission support along with validation support for Magic: The Gathering and Star Wars: Unlimited. What’s validation support, you ask? Well this means our system has their entire catalog of cards in our system, allowing us to validate the deck’s legality for any formats they are being submitted to. So we’ll tell you if your Magic decklist with a Companion is legal, or if you try to sneak a Star Wars: Unlimited Base into your maindeck. For every other game, we now provide a text-input field which allows decklist submission on Melee.gg for any game, and the Organizers will need to validate those submissions.
With the expansion of decklist support to more games means new tooling for the way you search for decklists. Our new decklists page allows you to filter for the game and format you’re looking for then provides you with specific advanced filtering options for that format.
Ready to Build and Submit Your Deck?
We’re excited to see how these updates will enhance your tournament experience, whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out with a new TCG. With a more streamlined process, better search functionality, and support for a wider range of games, submitting your decklist has never been easier or more intuitive. Head over to Melee.gg now to start building and submitting your decks, and let us know what you think in our Discord! We can’t wait to see what decks you’ll create next.
Happy deck building, and may the best deck win!
