Getting Started with Melee Mobile

Melee Mobile lets authorized staff manage a live tournament from a phone or tablet. Tournament creation, event setup, and player registration should still be done on Melee.gg before your event begins. Once the tournament is ready to start, use the app to run it live.

What You Can Do From the App

    • View published tournaments
    • Monitor match progress during a round
    • Submit and update match results
    • View round information and the round timer
    • Submit time extensions
    • Submit penalties
    • Mark matches as ghost matches (no result, both players absent)
    • Filter the match list to quickly find unfinished or important matches
    • Receive tournament notifications, including when the next round is ready to pair
    • Pair the next round once all matches are complete

The app only shows tournaments and actions available to your account’s permission level. If something is missing, it’s usually a permissions or organization issue – see below.

Sign In and Find Your Tournament

      1. Open the Melee Mobile app.
      2. Sign in with your Melee account.
      3. Choose Managing (in case you are also a player in tournaments, not Playing).
      4. Select the organization connected to your tournament.
      5. Review the list of available tournaments.
      6. Select the tournament you want to manage.
      7. Open the tournament to view round and match information.

      If Your Tournament Doesn’t Appear

      Check the following, in order:

      • You’re signed in with the correct Melee account.
      • You selected the correct organization.
      • Your account has organizer, scorekeeper, judge, or other appropriate staff permission for this event.
      • The tournament exists in Melee, is published, and is not a test/training tournament.

If everything above checks out, wait a few minutes for cached data to refresh, or restart the app.
