Username Policy

Usernames represent you on the platform – to other users and organizers. Usernames may not falsely represent your affiliation with Melee or another organization. They may not contain profane, offensive, violent, sexually explicit, intentionally derogatory or threatening language of any kind. 

Melee is the final arbiter of this policy and Melee alone will make final determinations on remediation of any violations.

Policy Violations

If a username is found to violate this policy, it is within Melee’s right to reset the username. If a username reset occurs under this policy, the account holder will be notified of the infraction at the email associated with their account. The username can be reset to the user’s choice 30 days after it was reset by Melee. If an account is found to break our username policy 3 times, the user will be deplatformed and the account will be deleted. The user will be notified by email of this action. Deleted accounts and the records associated with them are unrecoverable.
