Below are some common issues you might encounter and trouble shooting steps for those issues.
Top 8 Pairings are Incorrect
If you notice this at the beginning of the Top 8
If you move the phase to a top 8 cut and the pairings are not as expected based on standings follow the steps below:
- Ensure that matches have not started. If they have, pause the matches while you investigate.
- Open the Tournament Controller for your event and select the Phases menu on the left side.
- Select Edit (small green pen/paper icon) on the phase that includes your top cut.
- Ensure that the Matching Method is set to Playoffs/Top Cup. This is likely the reason that the top 8 was not paired as expected.
- Once you have edited the phase, select Save.
- Select the Matches menu on the left side then Match Actions → Delete Round’s Matches.
- In the pop up follow the prompt and type “DELETE” and then select Submit.
- Select Match Actions, Match Players/Teams.
If you notice the error after the the first round of your top cut has been played
- Prior to pairing the next round, open the Tournament Controller for your event and select the Phases menu on the left side.
- Select Edit (small green pen/paper icon) on the phase that includes your top cut.
- Ensure that the Matching Method is set to Playoffs/Top Cup.
- Once you have edited the phase, select Save.
- Select the Matches menu on the left side then Match Actions → Match Players/Teams.
Note: If you have trouble advancing phases after editing them, this can usually be resolved by switching the tournament to “Registration” and then back to “In Progress.”
