How do I set up an event to require decklists? #
In the “General Details” section at the second step of tournament creation process, select the checkbox “Require Decklists”. You can adjust decklist settings in the “Decklists” section further down on the same page.
Decklist Settings Explained:
- Make Decklists Public
- Decklists are hidden by default until the tournament has ended. If “Make Decklists Public” is selected, decklists become public as soon as decklist submission ends and the tournament is started. This can be toggled on at the end of the event if you wish.
- Auto-drop Players Without Legal Decklists
- Decklists Vetted
- Shows if the archetype has been confirmed (antiquated)
How do I set up an event to accept, but not require decklists? #
This function is not currently available. However, you can set the event to “Require Decklists” and then NOT select “Auto-drop Players Without Legal Decklists” to functionally allow but not require decklists. However, the system will still tell players that decklists are required, so messaging here might confuse them without additional context.
How do players submit decklists? #
You can check out the decklist submission help article HERE. If you or your players have any issues, you can reach out to us on our DISCORD or email us (contact@melee.gg) for assistance.
How can I submit a decklist FOR a player? #
Situation 1: If the player has not submitted a decklist to this event from their account, you will not be able to do it for them.
Situation 2: If the player has attempted to create a decklist for the event, they will show up in the “Decklists” tab, where you can edit their decklist. To do so:
- Navigate to the “Decklists” tab on your Tournament Controller
- Click the green gear next to the player’s name and select Edit/Import from the dropdown or whatever action you would like to perform.
When can I view the submitted decklists? #
You can view decklists at any time after they are created in association with the event. This means even if submission wasn’t completed for some reason (invalid decklist, closed out, forgotten, etc), you are still able to see the decklist that was created in the “Decklists” tab of the Tournament Controller.
