We only allow API access to organizations and their designated staff. Staff can be assigned per event or for all tournaments held by an organization. If you are not using it for your own organization, you must be at least given Coverage Staff clearance on every tournament or organization you wish to pull data for. Because you will have potential access to PII from those organizations, the Organization(s) have to grant you permission and cover the responsibility for the data you pull with their agreements. 

If you are expecting to use this only for your own organization, please send an email to contact@melee.gg requesting api access. If access is being granted for an organization that you do not own, the owner of that organization must confirm it is OK for us to give you access at contact@melee.gg.

Once we confirm acceptance, we will generate the client ID and secret to allow api access.
